nyon)
The six root afflictions are mental factors that, when generated, cause
the mental continuum to be very unpeaceful:
- desire (raga, ‘dod chags)
- anger (pratigha, khong khro)
- pride (mana, nga rgyal)
- ignorance (avidya, ma rig pa)
- doubt (vichikitsa, the tshom)
- afflicted view (drshti, lta ba nyon mongs can)
